1. Visit the Official SPU Website: Navigate to the official Sol Plaatje University website at www.spu.ac.za.
2. Access the Application Portal: On the homepage, find and click on the “Apply to Study” or “Apply” button.
3. Create Your Profile: As a first-time applicant, you will need to register a new profile. You will be asked to provide your full name, South African ID or passport number, and a valid email address and cellphone number.
4. Log In and Begin: Once your profile is created, you will receive a reference number that will become your student number. Use this and the PIN you create to log in to the SPU student portal.
5. Complete the Application Form: You will be prompted to enter your biographical information, academic history, and details of your previous educational institutions. You can select up to two programs of study.

• Bachelor’s Degree: A National Senior Certificate (NSC) with a Bachelor’s Degree endorsement.

• Higher Certificate: An NSC with a Higher Certificate endorsement.

For all programs, a minimum of a Level 4 in English Home Language (HL) or a Level 5 in English First Additional Language (FAL) is required. Additionally, you will need to meet the specific Admission Point Score (APS) for your chosen course, which typically requires a minimum of 30 for a Bachelor’s Degree.
