Step 1: Check Your Eligibility

You must meet the minimum academic requirements:

For Matric before 2008

  • Minimum of 25 points
  • English: E (HG) or D (SG)
  • Biology, Physical Science, or Physiology: E (HG) or D (SG)
  • Mathematics: E (HG) or D (SG)

For Matric from 2008

  • National Senior Certificate (Diploma pass or higher)
  • Minimum of 25 APS points
  • English Level 4
  • Home Language Level 3
  • Mathematics Level 3 or Mathematical Literacy Level 5
  • Life Sciences or Physical Sciences Level 4
  • Life Orientation Level 4 (mandatory but not scored)
  • Any other two subjects

Step 2: Prepare Your Documents

  • Matric Certificate (certified copy)
  • South African ID (certified copy)
  • Proof of residential address (or affidavit)
  • Proof of SA citizenship (e.g., birth certificate or ID)
